Q: Do I need a Korean number to use the app?

A: No, it is not mandatory to have a Korean phone number. You have the option to register using an international phone number as well.

Q: I can't sign in / sign up

A: To utilize this application, phone number registration and authentication are mandatory. Both Korean and international phone numbers are accepted. In addition, you have the option to link their social media accounts, including Gmail. If you encountered any bugs while signing in/signing up, kindly report to us in the Report a Bug menu.

Q: I didn't receive authentication SMS

A: If you have not received the authentication SMS, kindly click on the 'Send the code' button. If the SMS fails to arrive, we recommend attempting to register using a different phone number.

Q: Are the drivers licensed and registered?

A: Yes, all drivers on our platform are licensed and registered professional taxi drivers who have undergone a thorough screening process.

Q: Can I book a taxi in advance?

A: The current version of the app does not support booking taxis in advance. We are constantly working to enhance the app's features and may consider adding this functionality in future updates.

Q: I lost my belongings. What should I do?

A: In the app, locate to your trip, and there is a "Lost Item" button at the bottom.

Q: How do I get ride receipts?

A: If you need ride receipts, we suggest you to contact us after you finish the entire trip in Korea, and we will send all the invoices to you via email. You can contact us by going to “Contact Us” in the application.

Q: Can I use TABA app 24 hours?

A: Yes. You may use this application 24 hours. Based on specific time and location, there might be limited taxi available.

Q: Why am I being charged twice for one ride?

A: The initial charge is a temporary hold placed on your account to secure the transaction and will be released to your bank within 1-2 days. The second charge is the final and accurate payment for the ride. We understand the importance of transparency and assure you that you will only be billed once for the provided service.

Q: My credit card is denied

A: Your card may have been declined due to insufficient funds. We recommend attempting an alternative payment method. We accept a variety of payment methods, such as major international cards and digital wallets.

Q: Is there a charge for canceling a trip?

A: There is no charge for canceling your trip. Instead, a temporary hold will be placed on your account, typically with a prompt release. However, in some cases, it may take 1-2 days for the held amount to be released.

Q: Do I need to pay driver for the ride fee?

What should I do if taxi driver asks me for the ride fee?

A: Please avoid cash payments to the driver. You will be automatically charged for the ride through our app. Cash payments to the driver will result in double charge.
